Top 10 Best Highlighter Makeup
Hello there! Hope you are having an amazing day. If you are someone who follow beauty trends highlighters have been quite a rage for over an year now. Most trends tend to die down in a couple of months but highlighting aka strobing fad doesn’t seem to diminish anytime soon. I have tried several highlighters myself and I have compiled this list with the Top 10 Best Highlighter Makeup.
1. Wet N Wild Reserve Your Cabana (0.46 oz, $3.99) -If you do not want to spend a ton of money on makeup then this one is the best bet. Wet N Wild makes awesome makeup but at an affordable price range and this product is no exception. Though this product is advertised as a bronzer it is too light to be one but the champagne colored finely milled pressed powder can be used as an all over face powder or can be used on the highest points for a subtle sheen. This is the most natural highlighter among the list.
2. Makeup Revolution Goddess Of Love Highlighter (0.35 oz, $7.00)-The packaging in the Makeup Revolution Goddess Of Love Highlighter is too cute to be ignored. The heart shaped highlighter is huge in quantity for the price tag and you will only need the tiniest bit every time. The powder is finely milled and is champagne in color with a gold sheen to it. It doesn’t have any chunky shimmers that look tacky on the skin. It adds oodles of radiance and the glow from within look which is amazing on everybody.
3. theBalm Mary Lou Manizer Highlighter (0.30 oz, $24.00)-The cult favorite theBalm Mary Lou Manizer Highlighter is being hyped up in the internet for all the right reasons. This is a dream come to true for pale girls because it is a finely milled powder in light champagne color that looks universally flattering from the palest skin tone to the deepest of the complexions. Also you can use a light hand to wear it subtly or intensify to glow like the Gods.
4. Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit (4*0.26 oz, $40.00)-These comes in 5 different variants but my favorite one is ‘That Glow’ kit because it has 4 different highlighters and all the colors look great on light to deep complexions. They can be applied separately or mixed with each other to give that wet look on the skin without looking powdery or shimmery. These actually work out cheaper than other drugstore to high end highlighters. And being an Anastasia Beverly Hills product this highlighter palette is worth every penny.
5. Becca Afterglow Palette (0.26 oz, $39.50)-If you are someone who travels a lot then the Becca Afterglow Palette is one of my favorite to travel with as it has 3 different highlighters and 2 blush shades all in one palette. This palette again will cater to a variety of different skin tones. But these are quite shimmery compared to the previous ones in the list. Also I like to use these as eyeshadows and they blend quite well.
6. Colourpop Butterfly Beach Super Shock Cheek (0.15 oz, $8.00)-If you are on the hunt for that perfect wet looking highlighter that is not a powder then the Colourpop Butterfly Beach Super Shock Cheek it has a mousse like texture that feels and applies like a cream on the skin. It applies best with fingers and all you have to do is pat the product on the skin. It does give you a decent play time to blend it out before it dries down. I also like to use this one the eyes for the wet extremely dewy effect.
7. MAC Strobe Cream (1.7 oz, $33.00)- If you like dewy effect and want radiant looking skin then the MAC Strobe Cream is a great highlighter to begin with. It is a liquid highlighter than can be used alone or mixed with base makeup to make the skin look super radiant and glowy like it is glowing from within. If you use this right it gives the wet like effect don’t go overboard or it will make the skin look oily.
8. Sleek MakeUP Contour Kit (0.48 oz, $9.99)-The Sleek MakeUP Contour Kit is a duo that comes with a contouring powder and a highlighter powder. As I have medium skin tone I chose the medium shade in the duo and it gives a beautiful golden sheen to the skin. You can go subtle or build it up for great luminosity. Another favorite duo to travel with.
9. Becca Blushed Radiance (0.5 oz, $32.50)- Another set from Becca is the Blushed Radiance which has liquid and powder highlighters along with their luminous blushes. If you are someone who doesn’t go through the entire product before it expires then this is a nice way to get to know the brand and their products.
10. Benefit Watts Up Highlighter (0.33 oz, $30.00)- If you like cream highlighters more than powders or if you like to layer highlighters on top of each other then the Benefit Watts Up Highlighter is the one you should resort to. It doesn’t move the foundation underneath and adds plenty of radiance on its own. But you can intensify the glow by layering powder highlighter on top.
